How to cancel your approval as an excise warehousekeeper, a vaping products manufacturer, or for vaping duty stamps.
You can use this form to tell HMRC about a business that needs to cancel its authorisation:
- as an excise warehousekeeper
- as a vaping products manufacturer
- to affix vaping duty stamps
What you’ll need
We will ask you for approval IDs so we know which approval your request relates to. You will find these IDs on your approval letters.
Depending on what you need to cancel, we may also ask for:
- the date for cancellation
- the date production will end
- details about unused stock or goods left on premises
Cancel your approval
You can cancel your approval online.
If you cannot cancel online
You can write to the Excise Processing Team at least 30 days before you wish the approval to end.
After you’ve cancelled
If we agree to cancel the approval, we will confirm this in writing.
You must continue to meet your approval or registration obligations until the agreed cancellation date is reached. If you do not do this, it may result in financial penalties.
